One Hundred Pounds Notes
Egypt's first one hundred pound note was introduced in 1899 by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE). The series continued for more than five decades. However, in 1952 the newly formed regime decided to discontinue the one hundred pounds series as it was used by Egyptians and Foreigners to move their money out of Egypt .The Central bank of Egypt re-introduced the series 25 years later in 1978.
Fifty Pounds Notes
After its decree in 1898, the NBE did not immediately issue a fifty pounds note . Egypt's first fifty pound note was issued in 1904. The bank continued to issue fifty pounds notes until 1952. The denomination was discontinued thereafter. The CBE reintroduced the denomination in 1993.
Ten Pounds Notes
The NBE introduced Egypt's first ten pounds note in 1899. The series continued to be Issued by the NBE until 1960 when the CBE started printing its own notes. There are five different NBE issues of the ten pounds note.
Five Pounds Notes
The Five Egyptian pound series started in 1899. The NBE continued to issue five pound notes until 1960. The bank issued five different notes of the five pound series. The series continues to be issued by the CBE.
One Pound Notes
The NBE issued its first one pound note in 1899. The note was considered the second Egyptian note ever printed. The NBE issued seven different issues of the one pound note. The last of which was printed in the 1960.

The NBE issued its first twenty five piasters note in 1899. The note was considered the third Egyptian note ever printed. The NBE issued three different issues of the series. The last of which was printed in the 1960.
